Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) is a prominent institution in the sports arena of the state of Assam and the larger sports world of Assam. It was established in the old Guwahati district of Samari, with Radhagovinda Baruah as the president and K. D. Hazarika as the general secretary. The organization took its form in the 1958 decade. Although initially formed in an organizational structure, it was in the 1940s that the Guwahati Football Association was first established, with Haripad Sen (ACB) as president and K.D. Hazarika as general secretary.
