Itkhola Athletic Club edged past Trianga Cricket Coaching Centre by one wicket in a low-scoring thriller to win the final of the 7th Assam Premier Club Championship (APCC) 2024–25, held at Judges’ Field, Guwahati on Sunday. The APCC was organised by the Assam Cricket Association, with the final round being hosted by the Guwahati Sports Association. After winning the toss, Itkhola Athletic Club opted to field first in the 35-over-a-side final and bowled out Trianga CCC for 97 runs in 29.1 overs. Kabir Hassan Deshmukh top-scored with a gritty 41 off 53 balls, which included three boundaries and a six. Ranjan Bikash Das contributed 17 runs. Hritwik Dhar led the bowling attack for Itkhola, returning excellent figures of 3 for 15 in 7 overs. He was well-supported by Harsh Kumar (2 for 7) and Ikramul Ali (2 for 26). In reply, Itkhola Athletic Club chased down the target in 31.2 overs, finishing at 101 for 9. Sourav Saha and Ram Chandra Das scored 16 runs each, while Avay Kumar Yadav added 13 and Ikramul Ali chipped in with a crucial 10. Despite the loss, Trianga CCC’s Dipankar Paul produced a stunning bowling performance, picking up 6 wickets for 19 runs in 7 overs. Pritish Raharoy also took 2 wickets for 28 runs.
